CrossFit Deluge was founded in 2016. Owners Jake and Christine have been doing Crossfit for over a decade and we take fitness very seriously and at the same time having a lot of fun in doing so. Our team of coaches train everyone from soccer moms, to obstacle course racers, to military and first responders, kids. Our main focus is on function and human performance. We view intensity and intelligent programming as the key components of our fitness program. Our training is based on the premise of CrossFit of being constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.

For us, feeding the body the proper balance of food is critical for performance. We help our members pursue elite fitness and develop to their maximal potential. We strive to challenge our members to improve their quality of life and enhance their fitness levels through healthy choices and pursuit of wellness.

DO NOT rely on SHORT CUTS, COMMIT to HARD WORK...IT WILL PAY OFF!!!

I started Crossfit in 2010. My wife started 6 months before me and I saw what amazing results it was having on her, so I decided to give it a shot. I was humbled on how out of shape I was the first day. Thats when I made the decision to go all in. In 2016 I had the oppertunity to start my own box, It was a tough decision, but I defintely made the right choice. I have such a passion to make others better themselves in both fitness and in life. In my downtime I enjoy time with my family and friends.

I have been doing CrossFit for 10 years now.  When I first started CF, I had no idea what is was about. I just needed to get lose some weight and learn better eating habits. The CrossFit community is the reason why I became an owner and coach back in June 2016.

About a year later, I quit my job of 22 years and became a NASM CPT and earned additional specializations, as I knew I had a passion for helping others get through injuries and meet their goals.

I coach the Kids CrossFit classes, Low Impact and also provide personal training sessions.  The best part of being an owner is meeting some great people I consider my second ‘family”.

I started CrossFit in 2017. At this time I was in high school, working full time, and training horses. I would attend a 5am class here and there, not really that consistent. I stopped for awhile and came back in 2018, during the open. That’s when I got hooked. The community is what I fell in love with. Everyone cheering as loud as they could for the person in last place. From then on I couldn’t get enough. Other than being in the gym I am studying to become a physical therapist assistant, riding and competing horses, and spending any free time with my boyfriend and family! 

I started CrossFit in 2017 after a long history in regular fitness classes and long distance running. Fell in love with CrossFit watching the CrossFit Games and wanted to be awesome and learn new disciplines. I was hooked and humbled immediately.

 

I own an Insurance Agency in Puyallup by day and CrossFit either before or after the workday. I have recently started practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  I also love Hot Yoga, trail running, backpacking, skiing, and trying all the IPAs.

By day I am a storm water inventory technician for the Washington State Department of Transportation. (I don’t expect many people to know what that even means.) When I am not working my full time job or at the gym, I tend to spend my time outdoors. It may be hiking, backpacking, camping with my family, skiing, or running with my four legged best friend. Any excuse to get outside is a good excuse! 

 

I began CrossFit when I was 15, which now nearly a decade ago. Back then it seems little was known about scaling or that pull-up bars could be different heights. Even so, from day one I was hooked, and I can even remember my first work out was Cindy. The gym community and ability to push yourself, even when it seemed nearly impossible, has kept me coming back for more all these years.

 

I have just recently began the journey as a coach and with so much personal experience with the sport, it only seemed fitting. In February 2021 , I committed and earned my CFL1. I look forward to aiding individuals with their own CrossFit journey!
